How do I check DPI in a PDF?
Upload the PDF to this free resolution check. We evaluate placed images against the production profile’s minimum PPI and list findings in the Prepta Score report.
What DPI do I need for print?
It depends on viewing distance and process. Offset and fine digital often want ~300 PPI at final size; large format is lower. The free public profile uses a practical floor (150 PPI). Shops set their own minima in Prepta.
Does this check DPI at my final output size?
The free check reports placed-image resolution against the public profile. Scaling to a specific job size (banner vs business card) is part of full Prepta with your product dimensions.
Will this upsample my images?
No. The free tool only diagnoses. In Prepta itself, a low-resolution raster can get an upscale offer that states the resolution it will reach; it runs only when you confirm it and is re-checked afterwards.
